Wide mouth plastic jars are used to collect liquid waste, Eppendorf tubes, pipet tips, or other solid, chemically contaminated waste. Use an appropriate sized container for the volume of chemical waste generated in a week. Only fill 4/5 of the way to prevent spills.
Note: Always be sure to label with a completed hazardous waste label and do not store in the laboratory for more than a week. Submit a hazardous waste pickup request to dispose of safely.
