Lab Safety Guidelines for Safety Designates
Research Safety conducts lab inspections at least once a year to ensure that all research labs and core facilities comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and Northwestern policies. This optional online course will help Safety Designates understand their responsibilities, prepare for inspections, and promote good laboratory practices across all research environments. Depending on your research focus, some topics may not apply to you. You’re welcome to skip any sections that aren’t relevant.
